Training Courses

GeoAg provides training courses on Information from Geospatial Data for Natural Resource Managers. Training covers a multidisciplinary approach to geospatial spatial data. Knowledge gained from this approach is used as a basis for informed management decisions. Geospatial data including topography, air photo, published geology, and satellite data interpretation provide surface spatial information. Some regolith information is also available from these data sets. Geophysics is presented as an option for better understanding the subsurface.

The course explains geospatial data sets and information products available from each data set. Small groups will work on case studies to develop interpretation skills. Knowledge gained from this interpretation is then used to assess land management options.
